Details:
With temperatures again dropping well below freezing tonight into early Wednesday morning, black ice development is likely as wet roads and leftover snow and slush refreeze. Roads may therefore become slick and slippery, especially on untreated, secondary, and back roads. Slow down and use caution when driving, especially when traversing roads that have been heavily shaded today, or those that have not been treated. If you are walking outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury. Road and sidewalk conditions should again improve later Wednesday morning as temperatures warm well above freezing. |
